When the room is quiet, the screen dims to black, with an optional dim clock. Touch it to wake it, or let a HomeKit motion sensor do it, like your camera’s own motion sensor in the Home app (Hush Premium). The room’s sound plays through the speaker, just like in the Home app.

What you need
An iPhone or iPad with iOS 18 or later, and cameras set up in Apple’s Home app. Keep a charger by the bed: the phone stays awake all night.
What Hush doesn’t do
Hush doesn’t detect sound or crying: iOS gives apps no access to a camera’s audio. You hear the room through the speaker, like in the Home app. The phone stays awake on the charger because HomeKit stops video when the screen locks.
Hush is not a medical device. It doesn’t monitor breathing or vital signs and doesn’t replace supervision. Read the safety notice.
